BFF’2025: A Unique Event Beyond Independent Cinema
The next annual edition of Bitcoin FilmFest is set to take place from May 22 to 25 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

The next annual edition of Bitcoin FilmFest is set to take place from May 22 to 25 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Happening already in its third year, this unique cultural event once again promises an authentic experience built on creative expression, community spirit, and the Bitcoin ethos.
Looking back at its debut in 2023—a cozy yet significant event as the world’s first Bitcoin-themed film festival—and the past edition, which added Europe’s largest Halving Party to its cinematic program, Bitcoin FilmFest has made headlines globally. The impressive laser projection of the Bitcoin logo onto Warsaw’s second-tallest building remains a memorable highlight, proving that this grassroots yet ambitious project has potential and an interesting future.
This year’s chapter, BFF25, announced under the theme “Beyond the Frame,” aims to add new dimensions to its core focus: independent cinema. As stated on the official event website: “Where centralized scripts end, new narratives begin—explore the uncharted stories beyond the frame.” With some highlights of the program already revealed, this year’s edition takes even deeper steps in supporting a cultural landscape inspired by truth, decentralization, and bold storytelling.
Event Structure: The festival kicks off on May 22 with semi-official business networking and European Bitcoin Pizza Day celebrations, extending the program by an extra day. From May 23 to 25, the focus shifts to the core lineup of film screenings, creative sessions, and thought-provoking discussions.
